Craters of the Moon looks like another planet dropped into Idaho—volcanic landscapes, lava tubes, and cinder cones that stretch across 750,000 acres of high desert. This isn’t Yellowstone. It’s weirder, quieter, and criminally underrated. NASA trained astronauts here because it’s that otherworldly. Most people drive right past it on I-84. Don’t be most people. Rep the volcanic badlands that prove public lands don’t need to be green to be worth protecting.
