Fort Davis National Historic Site

Fort Davis National Historic Site preserves one of the best-surviving examples of a frontier military post in the Southwest. From 1854 to 1891, Buffalo Soldiers and infantry protected travelers and mail routes along the San Antonio-El Paso road. These stone ruins and restored buildings tell stories of resilience, duty, and the complex history of the Texas frontier. Not every historic site gets the spotlight, but Fort Davis earned its place. Rep a piece of the West that actually shaped it.
