Grassy Knob Wilderness

Grassy Knob Wilderness protects 17,200 acres of old-growth forest and rugged coastline on Oregon’s southern edge. This is temperate rainforest meeting the Pacific—Sitka spruce, Douglas fir, and some of the most biodiverse habitat in the state. No trails, no signs, just raw wilderness doing what wilderness does best. It’s not Crater Lake famous, but it’s doing critical work for salmon streams and seabird colonies.
