Kobuk Valley Wilderness protects 1.1 million acres of raw Arctic tundra, boreal forest, and the Great Kobuk Sand Dunes—the largest active dune field north of the Arctic Circle. This is Alaska at its most remote: no roads, no trails, no cell service. Just caribou migrations, grizzlies, and landscapes that have looked the same for millennia.
