Kootznoowoo Wilderness

Kootznoowoo Wilderness is nearly a million acres of untamed Southeast Alaska—old-growth temperate rainforest, rugged coastline, and brown bear country on Admiralty Island. The name means “Fortress of the Bears” in Tlingit, and it delivers: more brown bears than people anywhere on Earth. This is wilderness in its truest form—remote, wild, and essential. Rep a place most will never see but everyone should know exists.
